Collecting old interesting newspapers

Collecting old interesting newspapers

The Museum of Press (in the process of creation) is collecting old interesting newspaper issues featuring historical milestones.

More about the Museum

The collection includes – for now – Slovenian newspapers from the beginning and the end of World War II, issues printed at Tito’s passing, special issues of the newspaper Delo from the sixties, global and Slovenian newspaper issueson Kennedy’s assassination, Nixon’s resignation, Moon landing, Castro’s death…

The Museum of Press exhibits its items only on Facebook and someday when it finds a sufficiently long wall the items will also be displayed for visitors. A special section of the museum is dedicated to newspapers reporting on deaths of rock stars and another one is proud of its collection of magazines and newspapers from around the world (The Time, Newsweek, Spiegel, Paris Match, Life, The New York Times Magazine…) spanning from 1944 to 1980 with covers featuring photographs of Josip Broz Tito.

We wonder how it feels to flick through such old newspapers. How about you?

Follow us to find out who else you can drink coffee with. You can register at the venue. And who comes first will be served first…
